Technical Support
As the Client’s business continues to grow, both organically and through targeted acquisitions so a need for focused technical support developed. Working with existing teams within several divisions to deliver premium pack executions world-wide. The work has involved extensive contact with Research and Development and close liaison with the manufacturing plants and suppliers as implementation is realised. JRC has completed work across Europe and in the US.

Business Challenge
Flexible Resource
Businesses today need flexible resource but also require established links and compatibility with internal project teams. James Ross Consulting can operate like an extension of the existing resource.
How JRC Helped
A Good Day To Day Working Relationship
Technical support is based on a project by project approach. A specific requirement (improvement, development, troubleshooting etc) being identified. James Ross Consulting then provide a cost and timescale, based on agreed working methods, to affect a solution. This involves analysis, integration of technical data from acquired businesses, vendor liaison, support / interaction with all internal departments and locations (as necessary), specifications development, trials, final specification and update of information (specs / drawings) on to a central ‘global’ system. Key to our success for this type of project work was our ability to fit in to the systems currently operated by the client. This includes procedures and test protocols as well as inter-departmental (inter-site) communication and vendor liaison. Having established our links and compatibility with the team, we were then able to operate like an extension of the existing resource.
Value Delivered
Continued Support For Over Five Years
Client had acquired a range of established brands. Consolidated packs introduced inefficiencies into automated filling plant from disparity of componentry etc. Our project team analysed individual packs and components to identify causes for filling / assembly problems. This required updating and validation of existing specs and drawings. Once complete we interfaced with internal departments and suppliers to rectify as required. Specs and drawings were then re-issued. Third party manufacturing (fully serviced) assessment verses use of excess capacity at a sister company. Study involved line / capacity analysis, support services, inventory management, procurement, warehousing and total costs. Using this model to determine manufacturing routes for a range of new products.
